A Message From the Bishop

God is Still Greater Than All!

Dear Central Cal and church family. One of the most difficult decisions I have ever faced was to postpone our District Convention. Our team has worked so hard to put together a convention that you could be very proud of and that you would have been blessed by. However, because of the Covid-19, I felt it was in the best interest of our team, each individual attending, as well as our District Meeting to postpone our Convention until further notice.

I am encouraging each of our pastors to follow the guidelines that have been set forth by the President of the United States as well as your local state and city officials. President Donald Trump has proven himself to be a friend to the church and to the nation of Israel. We should support him in this time of uncertainty. We should not stop ministering but we should be looking for ways to continue ministering through different platforms. This may mean meeting by Facebook live or other on-line avenues for a time. I hope that you will prayerfully seek the Lord each day to lead you. There are many people living in fear and uncertainty that need the faith and confidence that we walk in.

As I prepare to comply, I am reminded of a story in the bible where the children of Israel had to go on lockdown. You will find the story in Exodus 12.

Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, “Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover. And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.” Exodus 12:21-22,  KJV

Now, I know for them it was just a single night, however when it was all over God’s people stood in victory and were delivered by the hand of the Lord the next day. No matter how bleak this may appear, God is still greater than all. I believe that God’s people will be protected, but we still must be wise and cooperative. We are not afraid, we are overcomers. We don’t stand in fear we stand in the power of God. We have HOPE!

I will continue to fast and pray until we have our convention. I tell you that God has placed such a powerful word in my heart for you and I am certain that I will be able to deliver that soon. I will try to give you plenty of notice on the new dates of our District Convention.

We may be on lockdown, but we are praying.
